Being both a licensed teacher and a parent of children who are school aged, I have developed the skill set and knowledge necessary to make an effective tutor. Parenting has allowed me to see the challenges that kids face with curriculum changes, specifically Common Core. I have sympathy for other parents that are struggling to help their children with the homework that is completely different than the way we ourselves learned. As a parent, you trust your child's tutor to know exactly how to help your child and I am here to do just that. As a special education teacher, I have extensive experience tweaking lesson plans to adapt the needs of many different pupils. I can create lesson plans that are effective for every type of learner, it doesn't matter their learning style or academic level. I can help in math, Spanish, English, test prep, science, and many more subjects. I look forward to helping students from all walks of life. When I am not teaching, you can find me dancing, cooking, and doing art projects.
