Experience

I made my solo debut at Weill Recital Hall in 2014. I was the winner of several competitions and performed at venues such as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. I am an active orchestral musician and I served as concert master and principal violist of several symphony orchestras. In 2014, I was accepted into the New York String Orchestra Seminar based at Carnegie Hall. I have performed in master classes of acclaimed musicians such as the Emerson String Quartet and collaborated with musicians from artistic institutions such as the New York Philharmonic. I have also participated in several music festivals emphasizing music performance and pedagogy. In addition to my accomplishments as a performer, I am a passionate teacher. I am currently on the faculty of the Music Academy of Garden City and a teaching artist for the Research Foundation at the City University of New York. I have also participated in pedagogical sessions and workshops at the Juilliard Starling-DeLay Violin Symposium. I have over nine years of teaching experience and I am dedicated to nurturing creativity and engaging young musicians in a supportive and encouraging environment. I develop lessons suited to each student’s needs and guide them to realize their full potential. Under my tutelage, I teach students fundamentals of instrumental technique, advanced concepts of music theory and cultivate an appreciation and love of music making. I prepare students for all levels of NYSSMA, All-County and All-State Orchestras, college auditions, orchestral auditions, festivals and competitions. The foundation of my teaching is based on my performance and pedagogical experiences and the core of my curriculum is based on my training in the Suzuki Method.
